Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. We need your ideas, time and talent to advance our mission of creating and protecting Democratic majorities. With a Congressional election and many important local races, 2026 will be a critical year. Here are some of the ways you can help:
Visit our County Committee Manual and our County Committee Tasks List
ALL VOLUNTEERS can perform most of these tasks alone or in coordination with their Democratic Club.
Get familiar with this ACDC website!
Vote in ALL races in ALL elections - top to bottom of ticket!
Develop friends/families lists in your districts/circle of influence and encourage them to get involved
Encourage Democrats to Register to Vote
Encourage Democrats to sign up to Vote by Mail
Recruit volunteers
Recruit Candidates - direct potential candidates to email: info@atlanticdemocrats.com
Engage with Municipal Clubs/Municipal Chairs
Recruit poll watchers/challengers - co-ordinate with your Club/Candidates
Get signatures for candidate petitions - coordinate with Candidates
Knock on doors - co-ordinate with your Club/Candidates
Make phone calls - co-ordinate with your Club/Candidates
Share candidate and platform information on social media - See Candidate Page
Distribute literature at town and county fairs - co-ordinate with your Club/Candidates
Hold Meet and Greet events for Candidates/Help Fundraise for Candidates - co-ordinate with your Club/Candidates
Attend County Commissioner and/or City Council meetings and report to Club Leadership

County committee members are all volunteers, as are the ACDC executive board members and individual club executive boards.
No one is paid to do the work of democracy but we all benefit!
