Patrick Bickel, 31, has been a proud resident of Absecon for the past four years. In that time, he developed a deep appreciation for the city’s close-knit community and sees tremendous potential in what Absecon can become. Patrick is running for City Council with one clear goal: to make Absecon a better place to live for all its residents. He believes in practical, community-first solutions—whether it's improving local infrastructure, supporting small businesses, enhancing public safety, or creating opportunities for families and young professionals to thrive. As a fresh voice with a forward-thinking mindset, Patrick brings energy, accessibility, and a genuine desire to listen and lead. He is committed to being a strong advocate for everyday residents and to helping shape a city government that works for the people it serves. Theresa Watts for Council Ward 2
Meet Theresa D. Watts, ESQ., our new candidate for Council Ward 2. Ms. Watts has been an Absecon resident since 2013, but is a lifelong resident of Atlantic County, growing up in Pleasantville, New Jersey and graduating from Holy Spirit H.S. She also earned degrees from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and City University of New York School of Law. Ms. Watts is founder and the owner of Watts Law, LLC, a virtual law firm opened in 2017. She was also the co-founder of the League of Women Voters of Atlantic County. In 2017, Ms. Watts previously ran for the New Jersey State Assembly for District 2. She has always been civic-minded and driven to serve her community. Ms. Watts has also served as board member for Family Services Association of Atlantic County and the Pleasantville Housing and Redevelopment Corporation. Ms. Watts is running for City Council, Ward 2 with the intent to keep Absecon the safe and affordable community that she has always loved.
