Whether as a lifeguard, a Union electrician, or a a proud military day, Steve Light has always put the community’s interests first. Growing up in Brigantine for the first-half of his life, Steve started his public service with the Brigantine and Atlantic City Beach Patrols, serving on the same beach as Jim Whelan. Steve has worked as a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 351 for 35 years and has spent the last 20 years employed by Calvi Electric. He's lived in Absecon for the past 29 years and was elected to Absecon City Council in an upset victory in 2017. In his spare time, Steve is a member of and volunteers with the following organizations: the Knights of Columbus, the Holy Spirit Father’s Club, Field of Dreams, Walshies Warriors, Assumption Regional Parents Group, and a proud supporter of the Absecon Sports Teams. Steve and his wife, Leenie, have four children: Lexie, Kealie, Andrew and Tori, who is a Navy veteran.
